Capgemini opens a new 300 seat capacity facility in Trichy.

Chennai. Capgemini, a provider of consulting, technology and outsourcing services, has announced that it has expanded its Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) centre network with the commissioning of a new 300 seat BPO facility in Trichy, Tamil Nadu. The new center will serve as another spoke location for the hubs in Bangalore and Chennai.

Spread across an area of 18,000 sq ft, the new 300 seat BPO facility will increase Capgemini’s BPO strength in India where more than 6500 full time staff are now employed. Over 200 employees have already been recruited, most of whom are fresh graduates. Two thirds of Capgemini’s current employees in Trichy are women - a testimony to the region’s ability to empower women and the quality of talent.

All operations at the Trichy centre will be non-voice based.

“Our expansion in India validates the Group’s belief in the region in the long term, best in class delivery location for its global clients”, said Hubert Giraud, Head of Capgemini BPO Strategic Business Unit.

BL Narayan, Head of BPO Capgemini, India added "The Trichy facility is part of Capgemini India’s ongoing expansion strategy for its BPO services. Having strengthened our presence in the key cities of the country, we are keen to leverage the talent pool of tier III cities for servicing our global clients, based on our domain specialisation in Finance and Accounting outsourcing, Procurement and Supply Chain Management.”
