Tata's new free BPO training scheme comes as great news for the youth.

Tata Power has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Tata Business Support Services (TBSS), a business process outsourcing (BPO) company, to enhance employability of youth around its Jojobera thermal power station in Jamshedpur, Jharkhand.

As per the MoU, TBSS will train young girls and boys hailing from in and around its Jojobera power station. This employability training christened ‘Sambhavana’ focuses on imparting training to the youth who have the potential; thus, enabling them to get a job in the BPO sector. In a year, around 150 youth will be trained and the training cost will be borne by the Jojobera thermal station. TBSS will offer employment opportunity directly to the candidates identified with the desired skill set, subject to the vacancies and their qualifying on the criteria.

Jojobera is exploring a similar skill-development programme for out-of-school boys and girls.
