Insurance company hunts for young authors

Max Life Insurance launches igenius Young Authors’ Hunt to discover budding authors.


New Delhi. Max Life Insurance, one of India’s leading life insurance companies, has announced the igenius Young Authors’ Hunt under its igenius programme . This new initiative aims to promote writing talent in young Indians (children under 15 years) that will culminate in a book of stories. This book will be published by Rupa Publications India who will also be providing editorial support for the book and authors Chetan Bhagat and Ruskin Bond will be part of the jury.

The igenius programme is one of corporate India’s largest scholarship programme that has been able to connect with over 2 million children in just three years and has awarded scholarships worth over Rs 40 million to over 5000 children.

Talking about the Young Authors’ Hunt, Anisha Motwani, Director and Chief Marketing Officer said, “It is not easy for children to find publishing houses who will print their stories. igenius Young Authors’ Hunt provides that opportunity and also encourages youngsters to take up the art of story-telling.”
